  • Malicious was featured in last month’s Playstation Plus update for free. Otherwise, this unique game only sets you back $9.99. The stylized look of Malicious suggests a lengthy JRPG, but it is actually an action game akin to Dynasty Warriors or Devil May Cry.

  • I knew I had to play Sideway: New York simply based on the style the first time I saw it. It is a 2D platformer where you are a piece of graffiti moving across the walls and rooftops of New York. The only question was, could the gameplay back up the idea? Hit the jump!

  • PixelJunk has become known for making small games with big charm. Between Monsters and the Shooter series PixelJunk has already claimed a good amount of my gaming time. Eden still had not caught my attention though until recently and upon giving it a chance, I found a quite charming little adventure.

This years Steam Summer Sale left a nice hole in the pocket, but also enlarged the $10 Gaming library. One of my favorite new games I've gotten to dive into so far has been PixelJunk Eden. This game is absolutely gorgeous and allows you to explore and expand a world with very simple and intuitive controls. While I work through the huge amount of content Eden offers, hit the jump for a few teasers shots of Eden.

  • New release: All Zombies Must Die! on Steam, brought to you buy the people that made Burn Zombie Burn and called the "spiritual successor". It looks to add goals, a leveling system, coop and more zombie destruction for the price of $9.99 ($7.99 while still a "new release"). We had some fun playing Burn Zombie Burn so I'm guessing this will be quite fun as well. Check out the trailer above and more info after the jump!

  • Not a completely new game, but newly released to PC and Mac is Auditorium via Steam. I remember playing a flash version of this game years ago and finding it very interesting. It has you bending sound waves to try to fill up different colored containers which then adds more sound to the background music as if you're the composer. It's nice to see a PC and Mac version available now, but this game is probably still available online and also free for iPhone so I'm not sure what they added to now justify a $7 price tag. Hit the jump for more info.

  • When Shank was first released I immeditely fell in love. It was a hardcore 2D brawler, great looking and made well so of course I was excited when I heard Shank 2 was in development. Now that it's out I can assure you that it is more of everything Shank 1 delivered and a fantastic game. This isn't to say it's for everyone, but all 2D brawlers should be taking note of what Shank brings to the table.

  • I've been keeping an eye on Sideway New York since the first day I saw it show up on Steam, but something just hasn't sold me quite yet. The games appeal to me is somewhere in between the stylish graffiti graphics and the unique platforming environment. I finally picked up the demo to see what this game is all about.

    costume quest grubbins on ice

Grubbins on Ice is the first downloadable expansion to the Xbox Live Arcade game Costume Quest. Costume Quest is an old-school style RPG completely themed around Halloween. The game has you going from house to house trick-or-treating to try to get candy and save your sister. Of course, the world is littered with monsters that you must defeat by wearing different costumes and actually becoming the costume you are wearing when you go into battle. However, Costume Quest is $15, so we aren't here to talk about it, but just how the Grubbins on Ice expansion holds up to the regular game.

    The 5 Cents

    • More Costume Quest!
    • Continue with your character from the main Costume Quest story
    • New costumes to wear
    • A decent amount of content, though still kinda short
    • Hopefully a sign of more to come
